UAL STUDY ABROAD WORK
during the winter semester 2026, i studied abroad at the university arts london, London college of fashion. i studied shoe making, menswear, and draping. here is a collection of my work accumulated while overseas.
In my shoe making course, i learned how to make a women’s pump shoe from scratch.
In the process, I learned about:
patterning
pattern cutting
stitching the upper pattern
skivng
pleating on the last
gluing the sole
sanding
menswear
In my menswear course, we learned about the ideation process that goes into creating a cohesive menswear collection. From the baseline of an archetype, constant ideation, using a muse, and creating a story.
My collection - “a night out” encapsulates the stages of going out for a night clubbing. In the 4 looks of the line up, I portrayed the feelings of what is experienced in a night out for me. That being (from left to right), the Freshen Up, the Pregame, the Headliner, and the Afters.
